Kloster Engelberg 1, Grossheubach
Always worth a visit is casual 🍻🧀🍞🍰
Very friendly staff despite Corona. Many a guest should think about what kind of upbringing they enjoyed. You can't deal with the staff as badly as one of the guests
Very good hygiene concept due to Corona. Very good beer and the Bavarian sausage salad is recommended.
Nice beer garden, friendly staff. A worthwhile stop.
Always nice there.
The Kreuzbergbier monastery tastes very good and is easy to drink. The guest rooms are beautiful and the beer garden is adequately equipped with large parasols. You can linger here. Unfortunately, the food is not really tasty and also way too expensive for the service. Price, performance, points deduction. Friendliness and hygiene concept great 👍 Not to be forgotten is the great view of the Main Valley and the Bay. Odenwald here on the edge of the Spessart.
Dirty toilets without soap, no longer eating what it used to be, almost exclusively convenience products. Just a nice beer garden and good beer. The cake tastes great too.
It was very nice there
Everything is great, good beer
I have been going here for over 25 years, unfortunately it is nowhere near as friendly and as good as it used to be: non-alcoholic beer is only served light (bought in ??), hardly any "real Engelberg specialties". The once stunning bread looks and tastes like it was "re-baked", the delicious pretzels are no longer there, the "Engelbergteller" only has the name in common with the past. Maybe someone who is interested will read this review and take action against it? I hope so, otherwise you can save yourself the trip in the future ...
Always beautiful
Always beautiful🥨🍞☕
A bit awkward due to corona regulations with children and dogs. Eat Drink Ok. Playground well laid out. I would recommend it.
Super nice location, high above the Großheubach market, good beer from Kreuzberg, delicious Vespers 😋
Several times a year we come to this special place and enjoy the simple fare. The monastery beer is always tasty and the monastery wine is not to be despised either. When the weather is nice, you can also sit in the beer garden. At the moment there are the usual rules due to Corona. The staff assigns the tables. If the family is a little bigger than 2 people, that's no problem either. The friendly staff will definitely help.
It was really nice
Great home brewed beer and bread Great atmosphere
Worth seeing.
Homemade food, delicious food, was very surprised. Kloster Brot is very tasty and the Kloster Bier is also very tasty.
We hiked from the parking lot of the wine trail below to the monastery. After visiting the church and monastery garden, we naturally wanted to try the Schänke monastery. The ambience of the interior is more reminiscent of a canteen than a cozy dining room. Food and drinks must be brought to the table in self-service. The menu offers some beer garden classics (liver cheeses, white sausages, meatballs with bread, potato salad, or pretzels etc.) that can be prepared quickly. The white sausages were very neat and possibly even handcrafted by a butcher nearby. There were also a few cakes to choose from. The very tasty monastery beer comes from the Franciscan monastery Kreuzberg, which is about 130 km away, and is reasonably priced at € 3.20 for a half. If you are on the way to the monastery anyway, you can take a break here for a beer. However, I would rather go somewhere else to eat.
